COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — A man was shot at a Commerce City bar Thursday afternoon, according to authorities in Adams County.
On Thursday at 2:34 p.m., deputies with Adams County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 7800 block of Newport Street after receiving a report of a person with a gunshot wound.
When deputies arrived at the scene, they found a man bleeding from an apparent gunshot. He was conscious and was transported to a local hospital.
According to the Commerce City Police Department, after an investigation, authorities said they believe the man had been shot a few blocks away, at Hard Times Tavern & Sports Bar on the 6700 block of E. 80th Avenue. The sheriff’s office called the police department to assist at the scene.
This investigation is ongoing. Authorities did not have an update on the man's condition.
