COMMERCE CITY, Colo. – A man who was found jumping on top of a vehicle in the street was arrested on suspicion of homicide early Tuesday morning, according to the Commerce City Police Department.
Jorge Hernandez, 26, was found jumping on a parked vehicle in the street near the intersection of E. 65th Avenue and Hudson Street at around 3:37 a.m. Tuesday, after patrol officers were dispatched to the area following reports of a disturbance inside a nearby home.
Police said Hernandez made statements which led officers to check the welfare of a man inside the home. Once inside, they found the man’s lifeless body inside the residence.
A follow-up investigation led detectives to identify Hernandez as the suspect. He was arrested without incident and faces first-degree murder charges.
Police said the victim’s identity will be released by the coroner’s office.
