GREELEY, Colo. (AP) — A 38-year-old suburban Denver man has been sentenced to life in prison without parole for killing his uncle.

Kelly Raisley, of Lakewood, pleaded guilty Tuesday to first-degree murder and was immediately sentenced for the Aug. 16 shooting death of Randy Baker in Greeley.

Prosecutors say Raisley was paid several thousand dollars and given Baker's motorcycle in exchange for the killing. Baker's wife and his sister have been implicated in the murder plot, and their cases are working their way through the court system.

Assistant District Attorney Robb Miller called the murder "truly senseless" and said Raisley was "deceived into killing the one man that truly cared for and loved him."
