ALAMOSA, Colo. — The Alamosa County Sheriff's Office, along with the Colorado Bureau of Investigation (CBI), is investigating a homicide in Alamosa and searching for a 44-year-old man in connection with the case.

Around 6:20 p.m. on Sunday, deputies with the Alamosa County Sheriff's Office responded to a residence along the 3000 block of Lincoln Avenue after receiving a report about a 49-year-old man who was unconscious and not breathing, CBI said.

When deputies arrived, they found the man inside the residence. He was deceased and had visible injuries, CBI reported. He has not been identified yet. The person who called for help was also there and was interviewed.

While few details are available, the CBI said it is searching for 44-year-old Fernando Rodriguez, of Alamosa. He may drive a green 1995 Subaru Station Wagon with Colorado license plate AXO-F61. Authorities are warning the public to not approach him.

Anybody with information about this incident or Rodriguez's whereabouts is asked to call the Alamosa County Sheriff’s Office at 719-589-5807.

The sheriff's office and CBI are also working with the Alamosa Police Department and the Colorado State Patrol on this case.
