WESTMINSTER, Colo. — The Denver metro area has seen an increase in smash and grab burglaries to businesses over the past few months, and Westminster is no exception.

On Thursday around 3 a.m., police with the Westminster Police Department were notified of several burglar alarms between the 13600 and 14400 block of Huron Street.

A delivery driver who was in the area described the suspect vehicle to police. Officers responded to the area and took the suspects in the car into custody.

Westminster police are working with other agencies to see if the suspects are responsible for similar crimes in nearby areas, and are not releasing their names or pictures.
