DENVER -- A man accused of hiding near his girlfriend's dead body after she wad been strangled to death has been charged in the case, according to a spokesperson with the Denver District Attorney's Office.
Jose Vallejo-Cano, 25, was charged with first-degree murder, after deliberation, in the death of Araceli Miranda, 23.
On Oct. 29, Miranda's body was found in the back seat of a car in the area of Kingston Street and East 47th Avenue. She had been strangled, according to investigators.
Her boyfriend, Vallejo-Cano, was found hiding nearby and was taken into custody, a spokesperson for the Denver DA's Office said.
He remains in custody in the Denver Detention Center where he is being held without bond. His next court date has not yet been set.
