DENVER – A 13-year-old boy suspected of shooting a woman and two juveniles at Manual High School on Thanksgiving has been taken into custody, according to police. Officers contacted the boy sometime before 3:45 p.m. Sunday in northeast Denver.

The suspect, which Denver7 is not identifying by name, was wanted in connection with the shooting that took place in the parking lot of Manual High School just after noon Thursday.

Police said the boy walked up to a white car parked at the high school and fired multiple rounds into the vehicle before fleeing on foot eastbound.

An adult woman was shot in the leg, one juvenile was shot in the arm and the second juvenile "sustained multiple gunshot wounds” following the shooting, according to Denver Police Department spokesperson John White said.

White said none of the injured were students at Manual High School, and it remains unclear why they were at the school when the shooting occurred. A motive for the shooting has also not been released.

Police said the boy is just one of two or three other suspects believed to have been involved in the shooting.

Anyone with information about the shooting should call the Denver Metro Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-7867.
