ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. – Denver police, in conjunction with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office, are conducting a death investigation after a body was found at a waste and recycling facility in Adams County late Saturday morning.
Very few details about the investigation were released via a tweet sent by the Denver Police Department about a quarter ‘til noon, with police only saying the body was found in the 600 block of West 53rd Place – an address that points to Alpine Waste and Recycling.
Nearly a year ago, a body was found at the same facility. At the time, a spokesperson for Alpine said the body was discovered among recycled materials that were delivered to the plant. Adams County would later say the 2018 case was not ruled a homicide.
On Saturday, a spokesperson for Alpine said their main objective in the death investigation "is simply to provide as much cooperation to enforcement as possible."
