Authorities identify homicide victim whose body was found in Aurora during blizzard

AURORA, Colo. – Authorities have formally identified the man whose body was found near an Aurora light rail station during last week’s blizzard and say his death is being investigated as a homicide.

Aurora police identified the man as Martin Galdamez-Galdamez, 24, and said his death was formally being investigated as a homicide.

Police found the man’s body just before 2 p.m. Wednesday near the Fitzsimons light rail station’s parking lot and the Sand Creek Trail. The body couldn’t be removed from the area until the next day because of the blizzard conditions at the time.

Police said Tuesday there were no additional details about Galdamez-Galdamez’s death. They asked anyone with information about the murder to call agent Szuch at 303-739-6068 or Crime Stoppers at 720-913-STOP.
