Aurora girl, 13, who ran away from home Sunday found safe Tuesday

AURORA, Colo. – The 13-year-old girl police had been looking for after she ran away from home Sunday was found safe Tuesday, Aurora police said.

Before she was found, Serenity Brydon, 13, had last been seen Sunday, June 3 around 1 p.m. near Peoria St. and E. 13th Ave. in Aurora. Aurora police did not provide information about where she was found, only saying she was safe.

She is described by police as 5-foot-8 and 160 pounds, with long brown hair and hazel eyes. Police said she is “possibly” wearing a black tank top and blue jeans.

Anyone who sees her or has knowledge of her whereabouts is asked to call 911.

Editor's Note: Aurora police originally said that Brydon was 12 years old and 106 pounds, but updated that information seven hours later to say she was 13 years old and 160 pounds.
