Aurora police increase reward for information on shooting that left teen dead at Juneteenth celebration

AURORA, Colo. — The Aurora Police Department has increased the reward for information on the fatal shooting of a teen at a Juneteenth celebration in 2020.

The 17-year-old was shot and killed on the evening of June 19, 2020 at a Juneteenth celebration at Rocky Ridge Park, which is located at 16200 E. Mississippi Ave. APD said more than 1,000 people attended the Juneteenth celebration.

On Thursday, APD's Major Crimes Homicide Unit said the total reward for information on this case has increased to $7,000. Of that amount, Metro Denver Crime Stoppers is offering $2,000 and the Aurora Reward Fund is offering the remaining $5,000.
