DENVER – An assault suspect wanted out of Aurora, who authorities hunted down across several states for more than a week, has been arrested.

William Roberts, 34, a former Marine who authorities had been searching for since Aug. 1 was arrested Friday in Mecklenburg County in North Carolina, according to Halifax County, Va. authorities. He was taken into custody without incident, officials said.

Roberts was wanted in three states after he eluded authorities in the Silverthorne/Dillon area, as well as in Kansas and Virginia.

Robert was wanted on vehicular assault charges, as well as for vehicular eluding, resisting arrest, obstructing a police officer, reckless endangerment and reckless driving.
