LOGAN COUNTY, Colo. — A 60-year-old man has been arrested in the killing of a woman in Logan County over the weekend, authorities said.

David L. Rothe faces charges of second-degree murder and felony menacing.

Deputies responded about 9:35 a.m. Saturday to a trespassing call in the 12000 block of Sugar Mill Road, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. When they arrived, they found a woman who had been shot. She died at the scene. Her name has not been released.

Investigators were led to Rothe, who was taken into custody and is being held in jail without bond. More information about the incident was not being released.

Rothe in 2010 was arrested after a standoff at his home in Jefferson County, according to a report from The Denver Post. Rothe had faced a foreclosure eviction and barricaded himself inside the home. SWAT officers made contact with Rothe and he was taken into custody.

In 2009, Rothe was arrested on several misdemeanor charges of sexual contact-peeping tom, though he was acquitted or found guilty of lesser charges, according to Colorado Bureau of Investigation records.
