WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. – A reward of up to $2,5000 is now being offered for information that may lead to the whereabouts of five goats believed to have been stolen from a farm in Wheat Ridge at the end of last year.

The five male LaMancha goats went missing from the Kipling Trailhead Open Space, just off 38th and Kipling Street, sometime between 3 p.m. on Dec. 30 and 5 am. on New Year’s Eve 2018, Sara Spaulding, a spokesperson for the Wheat Ridge Police Department said in a press release Friday.

The five missing goats are: Wendell (black and white with a long beard and big, six-inch horns); Daryl and his other brother Darryl (who are both brown with no horns); Yoda (black with long floppy ears and horns); and Creampuff (all white with horns).

Police said the goats spend the spring and fall grazing noxious weeds on Wheat Ridge Open Space and are also used for public events around the city.

Spaulding said detectives believed someone tampered with the gate and took them, as none of the goats have been found.

“These guys are very friendly and usually seek people out,” stated Amanda Weaver, owner of 5 Fridges Farm. “We just want them home with the rest of the herd, and hope the reward encourages someone to come forward with information so we can find them.”

Anyone with information about the missing goats is asked to call Crime Stoppers at (720) 913-7867, text DMCS plus your message to 274637, go online MetroDenverCrimeStoppers.com/tip, or use the Mobile App. Anyone contacting Crime Stoppers can remain anonymous. A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered for information leading to an arrest or to the return of the 5 Fridges Farm goats.
