6 shot in 3 separate weekend shootings in Denver, Commerce City

DENVER – Police in Denver and Commerce City are investigating three separate shootings in the past 24 hours that wounded six people.

The first shooting occurred Saturday night in the 12200 block of East 52nd Avenue in Denver. Two victims were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. No arrests were made. Denver police are still working to develop a suspect description in the case.

The second double shooting occurred early Sunday morning in the 16800 block of East 110th Avenue in Commerce City. Police said two people were shot during an altercation stemming from a house party. Both victims were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect in the Commerce City incident has not been positively identified, but police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a person of interest seen on doorbell surveillance footage.

The third shooting occurred early Sunday morning in the 1700 block of Champa Street in downtown Denver. A teen and an adult, both males, were shot and sustained non-life threatening injuries. No suspect description was available.
