JEFFERSON COUNTY, Colo. -- One suspect has been arrested and a second man is on the run after reportedly robbing a liquor store and shooting at a good Samaritan in Jefferson County late Friday morning.
The two men went inside the liquor store at the Woodmar Plaza in the area of West Peakview Drive and West Coal Mine Avenue at around 11:30 a.m.
As the robbery was taking place, a Good Samaritan outside the store saw what was happening and took down information from the suspects' vehicle. The suspects then fired shots at the Good Samaritan but he was not injured.
Police later arrested Antonio Lujan, 21, after the vehicle was located in the 3000 block of South Wyandott Street in Englewood. He is facing charges of conspiracy to commit first-degree murder. A juvenile was also arrested on the same charges.
Police are looking for the man they believe pulled the trigger. Darren Connolly, 20, is on the run. Police say he is facing charges of attempted first-degree murder.
No one inside the store was injured during the robbery or the shooting, according to Jefferson County Sheriff's spokesman Jenn Fulton.
