DENVER -- Two people were killed and four others were injured following three separate shootings in Denver that took pace within a span of 30 minutes overnight.
Shooting near Denver Lumber Company
The first shooting happened at around 12:30 a.m. Sunday in the area of South Cherokee Street and West Arkansas Avenue.
Police told Denver7 the shooting took place between the Denver Lumber Company office and the train tracks in that area. A juvenile male, between 16 or 17-years-old, died and another male was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the hand.
A tow truck removed a red car and a truck from behind Denver Lumber Company, but police would not confirm if the vehicles were connected to the shooting.
Nathan Virgil works at a surrounding business and said his work truck was towed away. Virgil said police explained the vehicle was involved in the early morning shooting.

A DPD spokesperson told Denver7's Amanda del Castillo that there was a warehouse party on Cherokee and Arkansas at the time of the shooting. Later Sunday, the spokesperson confirmed with Denver7 the two victims were part of that party. Inside the warehouse, an altercation eventually escalated into a fight outside and the shooting took place.
People at surrounding businesses pointed to Legacy Traffic Management and said late night teen parties are held at the warehouse at least twice a month.
Denver7 reached out to the business and a separate contact found on a party flier, but calls have not been returned.
Denver police have not released any information regarding a suspect.
