DENVER -- A man and a woman were injured following a shooting that happened a few blocks away from Denver Health early Thursday morning.

Shots were fired into a house in the area of Inca Street and West 4th Avenue just before 3 a.m., according to Denver Police Department spokesman Doug Schepman.

The woman, who was shot in the leg, and a man who was also shot, were taken to a hospital for treatment. Their conditions are unknown at this time.

Schepman said the shooting may have originated from a vehicle, but that remains unclear at this time. It's also not clear if the people inside the house were targeted, Schepman added.

No suspect information was immediately available.
