3 wounded, including teen, in 3 separate shootings in Denver Saturday

DENVER — Police in Denver are investigating three separate shootings that left three people hospitalized, including a teen in an accidental shooting, Saturday morning and into the afternoon.

The first shooting was reported at 1:32 a.m. on the Denver Police Department’s Twitter feed. It happened in the 7600 block of E. 28th Avenue in the city’s Central Park neighborhood.

Police said a suspect shot a man twice in the stomach outside an apartment complex. The victim was transported to the hospital in an unknown condition.

Details of what led up to the shooting were not released. No arrests were made. Police said the suspect was unknown to the victim.

The second shooting was reported about 15 minutes later in southwest Denver. A teenager was shot inside a home in the 3600 block of W. Linvale Place.

Police said two male teens were playing with a gun when it went off. The victim was transported to the hospital in critical condition.

No arrests were reported to be made in this case.

The third shooting occurred around 3 p.m. in the Lincoln Park neighborhood.

Police said a man was shot and transported to the hospital where he was described to be in "stable" condition. No suspect information was released.
