COMMERCE CITY, Colo. — Two people were arrested after police say the pair went on a vandalism spree, using a pellet gun to shoot out the windows of at least 100 vehicles in Commerce City.

The two suspects — an unidentified 15-year-old boy and 21-year-old Tomas Medina — were taken into custody in the 6100 block of Ivanhoe Street around 8 a.m. Saturday, according to a news release from the Commerce City Police Department.

Police began receiving calls from residents in the southern area of the city around 7 a.m. Callers reported that the windows of their vehicles were shot out by an apparent pellet gun the previous evening, the release said.

Chamuel Duran told Denver7 that four cars parked at his property were all hit.

"I was pretty pissed," he said. "I called 911, and they told me to hold up a bit because there was 25 other reports."

Police said at least 100 vehicles have been discovered with their windows shot out.

Wanda Peach said her son woke up this morning, went outside and found shattered glass out in the street where Peach's car was parked.

She said they didn't bother to call police, but did spend all day trying to find a replacement window for her Mercury Topaz -- no luck.

"We've called multiple glass companies and junk yards, and we're having a horrible time finding a window for that car," she said.

The general boundaries where these crimes occurred are bordered by East 66th Avenue on the north, 60th Avenue to the south, Glencoe on the west and Quebec to the east, according to police.

Medina and the juvenile were arrested after a resident reported a suspicious vehicle on Ivanhoe Street. A pellet gun and ammo were also recovered, police said.

Both suspects are facing numerous counts of criminal mischief, according to the release. Medina is facing an additional charge of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. He was booked into the Adams County Detention Facility.
