1 stabbed in possible attempted robbery in Fort Collins, police looking for suspect

FORT COLLINS, Colo. –  A stabbing suspect is on the loose in Fort Collins following a reported attempted robbery at a 7-Eleven early Friday afternoon.

Police said the stabbing occurred in the 7-Eleven parking in the corner of West Prospect Road and Overland Trail in West Fort Collins at around 12:51 p.m. 

"Two individuals known to each other met in the parking lot of the 7-Eleven," said Officer Brandon Barnes with Fort Collins Police Services, and one of the individuals, a 52-year-old man was stabbed. The victim's condition is currently unknown. 

The relationship between the two people remains unclear, Barnes told Denver7. 

The identity of the suspect has not been released. 

The 7-Eleven parking lot was closed while officers processed the scene. No roads were closed for the investigation.
