1 dead after shooting outside Aurora restaurant

AURORA, Colo. — One man died in a shooting following a disturbance in an Aurora parking lot Tuesday evening.

On Tuesday at 7:59 p.m., multiple people called 911 to report a shooting at Mariscos El Rey 2 located at 10293 E. Iliff Ave.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man in the parking lot with an apparent gunshot wound, according to police. The man was transported to a hospital where he died.

Based on initial information from police, there was some sort of disturbance in the parking lot leading up to the shooting.

Investigators are still working to identify the suspect and understand the circumstances around the homicide.

Police said they believe this was an isolated incident.

This investigation is ongoing and no other information was available as of Wednesday afternoon.
