AURORA, Colo. — Police in Aurora are investigating a stabbing Saturday night that left one person dead and another injured.
It happened at the Amber Apartments, located at 1945 Peoria Street in North Aurora. Officers were dispatched to the complex around 10:08 p.m.
Upon arrival, officers found a man and woman inside of an apartment on the 5th floor who had been stabbed.
Paramedics transported both parties to a local hospital where the woman later succumbed to her injuries. The man's injuries are non-life threatening and he is expected to survive.
At this time, no one is in custody. However, police said this incident is believed to be isolated, and there is no immediate threat to the community.
The identity of the female victim will be released by the Adams County Coroner's Office once she has been positively identified and next of kin have been notified.
