Colorado's two In-N-Out Burger locations have active outbreaks that include 80 employees who have tested positive for COVID-19, according to data from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment. As of Thursday morning, more than 1,200 businesses across the state currently have an active outbreak.
As first reported by Denver7's news partners at The Denver Post, 60 employees from the In-N-Out Burger in Colorado Springs tested positive for COVID-19, according to the CDPHE. In addition, nine people are suspected to have the virus, but that has not yet been confirmed through lab results.
The In-N-Out Burger in Aurora has 20 employees that have tested positive for COVID-19. Sixteen of them are suspected to have the virus but they haven't received test results yet, according to the CDPHE. The restaurant made headlines in late November when it opened and customers waited 14 hours or longer for the food.
These two fast food restaurants are among more than 1,200 other locations in Colorado that have current and active outbreaks. The businesses include Targets, Whole Foods, Walmarts, Home Depots, King Soopers, Costcos, and a McDonald's and Buffalo Wild Wings, among many others.
