AURORA, Colo — Many Coloradans have been spending more time on their computers and phones during the stay-at-home order. It's partly because of the limitations, but some are looking to use it to help.
Alexandria McCutcheon and her friend Jenna Walton were on a Facebook group designed to help others in the Denver Metro area during COVID-19 when they posted to help others get much-needed baby supplies.
"We just decided to team up, and my garage is our headquarters right now. We're just trying to help as many families as possible," McCutcheon said.
They've been able to help close to 200 families so far.
"I felt relieved because I didn't have to go out on a scavenger hunt to find these items," recipient Chyanne Gonzalez said.
They're looking to do more and still accepting donations and helping those who need it.
"You can hear it in my voice right now, but it's so cool to see the community come together at such a needed time," a choked-up McCutcheon added.
