Xerox Corp. is bringing back hundreds of employees who were told in March they were being laid off from the company's Colorado Springs call center.
The Gazette reports that company spokesman Kevin Lightfoot says the cuts that were to take effect on May 31 affected 328 workers. Xerox had said the cuts were necessary because the needs of a client had changed and it didn't need as many workers.
But Lightfoot says that client has seen an increase in business and told Xerox it would still need the company's service.
Of the 328 workers informed they'd lose their jobs, 128 had been switched to positions with other Xerox clients. The remaining 200 employees are being contacted, and Lightfoot says 90 have agreed to come back so far.
