Police say a speeding driver lost control of his car and crashed into a tree, ejecting and killing his passenger.
It happened Wednesday night on Chelton Road, near Palmer Park.
Investigators said Christopher Roseboom, 45, ran from the crash. He was found hours later near his home with serious injuries from the crash.
"He was transported to an area hospital for treatment," Colorado Springs Police said on their website. "He was arrested at the hospital for vehicular homicide and vehicular assault, hit-and-run and DUI and other traffic charges."
Two other passengers were seriously injured in the crash.
