FREMONT COUNTY, Colo. – If your alpaca has recently gone missing in Fremont County, the Sheriff’s Office would like to speak to you.

Deputies were out in the 1300 block of M. Street and Penrose when they spotted an alpaca, seemingly lost and #KeepingItRural.

If you anything that could lead to information about the owner of this alpaca, please contact the Fremont County Dispatch at (719) 784-3411. Press “1” at the recording.

Last month, the Boulder County Sheriff’s Office was dealing with a similar situation.

The alpaca, nicknamed “LC” because she was found near Lyons Crest, is currently under the care of Knick O’Time Animal Rescue officials in Longmont.

The alpaca was found to have a "severe eye injury" in her right eye, according to Knick O'Time Animal Rescue executive director Stephanie Wendorf.

The animal is currently recovering and as soon as she does, she will be available for adoption.
