COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Firefighters came to the rescue after a family dog fell several feet into a home under construction in Colorado Springs.
The German Shepherd fell ten feet through a family's porch that was under construction, the Colorado Springs Police Department said on Twitter.
Engine 5 crews were seen prepping the German Shepherd in order to be lifted.

A woman who is not seen on camera explained the dog jumped ten feet into the ground because he thought he was jumping through a fence. The dog is then seen being lifted by firefighters.

The rescue was successful, according to the fire department.
