A convenience store clerk avoided being robbed by barricading himself in an office early Monday morning.
The clerk was working at 3 a.m. at a convenience store on South Hancock Avenue, near Prospect Lake, in Colorado Springs when he saw a man walk in with a gun and his face mostly covered by a bandana, police said.
"The clerk realized he was about to be robbed and barricaded himself in the store’s office denying the suspect access to him," Colorado Springs police said.
Investigators said when the gunman couldn't get to the clerk, he left.
Officers searched for the suspect, but didn't find him.
