EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. -- The Cimarron Hills Fire Department is mourning the loss of one of their own this weekend.
Jermaine Frye, 31, was found dead in his home Saturday afternoon. The cause of death is unknown at this time but may be related to a work injury accident he sustained, our ABC-affiliate station in Colorado Springs, KRDO-TV, reports.
"The flag at the National Fallen Firefighter Memorial has been lowered to half-staff in honor of Jermaine's memory. Funeral arrangements will be forthcoming," the Cimarron Hills Fire Department said on its Facebook page.
Frye worked as a paramedic for the fire department, KRDO-TV said.
He leaves behind his wife and unborn child. A GoFundMe account has been set up to help the grieving family.
