COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Police are looking for multiple armed suspects involved in a carjacking who also fired shots at police.

The crime spree started on Whileaway Circle in east Colorado Springs at 12:07 a.m. Friday.

"The investigation revealed the suspects had taken the victims’ vehicles at gunpoint and fled the scene in the victims’ vehicles," Colorado Springs Police said.

Two vehicles were stolen -- a dark blue Cadillac and a blue Ford Ranger pick-up.

Officers said they found the pick-up less than a mile away near Maizeland Road and Academy Blvd.

The suspects fled and officers said they chased the truck.

"During the pursuit, the suspects fired several rounds at the pursuing officers," police said.

The suspects got away.

Police said both stolen vehicles were recovered.

No one was injured in the carjacking, chase or shooting, police said.
