EL PASO COUNTY, Colo. – Eight people were arrested in Colorado Springs Thursday as deputies conducted an operation related to the murder of two teenagers found dead south of Fountain earlier this month.

Deputies were executing a search warrant at a home in the area of Tahoe Boulevard and Yellowstone Road in connection with the case when they found the suspects.

“Ten individuals were contacted and eight were arrested on various charges to include pre-existing arrest warrants and felony narcotics unrelated to the double homicide,” a deputy with the El Paso County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday night.

Codey Slape, 26; Jonathan Briggs, 37; Justin Martinez, 29; Kristina Meyer, 38; Marsha Haughton, 25; Chase Girard, 29; Rhonda Keller, 54; and Amanda Allen, 28, were identified as the suspects arrested Thursday by the Sheriff’s Office.

All of the suspects were taken into custody and booked into the Criminal Justice Center.

The investigation into the double homicide is still ongoing and more arrests are expected, according to an El Paso County Sheriff’s deputy.
