COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- A 15-year-old was taken into custody after reportedly stealing a car and leading police on a chase early Thursday.
Officers got a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area of Meadowland Boulevard and Alta Loma Circle at around 6:30 a.m. The vehicle, a black Nissan Pathfinder, was reported as stolen.
The vehicle then fled as police arrived at the scene and a chase then ensued.
During the chase, the suspected vehicle thief struck another car at the intersection of Austin Bluffs Py and Academy Boulevard. The driver of the vehicle that was struck did not suffer serious injuries.
The stolen vehicle then continued southbound on Academy where it struck a marked police vehicle, where it stopped near the intersection of South Carefree Circle and Oro Blanco Drive.
The 15-year-old male driver was then taken into custody by Colorado Springs police.
