FREDERICK, Colo. — The town of Frederick has started placing purple ribbons on light posts around town in memory of Shanann Watts and her children.
The town said it has posted the ribbons along Fifth Street downtown and in the Wyndham Hill area.
The town wrote on its Facebook page Thursday that the ribbons are available for residents at Town Hall, located at 401 Locust St., Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. They are also available at the town’s booth at the Frederick Farmer’s Market Thursday from 4 to 8 p.m.
Town Hall will close for Labor Day.
Watts, her unborn child, and two daughters were allegedly murdered by her husband earlier this month.
