PUEBLO, Colo. -- Authorities have released the name of a 9-year-old boy who died after he was pulled unresponsive from a swimming area at Lake Pueblo State Park.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports Michael Wommack, of Colorado Springs, was playing on an inner tube at the Rock Canyon Swim Beach when he disappeared under the water Sunday.

Park staff deployed a boat with a sonar system within 10 minutes of the boy's disappearance. He was found within an hour and was flown to a local hospital.
