A lot of people are intimidated by doing their taxes, But not 7Everyday Hero Carol Haycock. She helps dozens of Coloradans prepare their taxes for free!

Haycock assists low to moderate income taxpayers through the AARP Foundation Tax Aide program.

"I love it!," exclaimed Haycock.

She has done it for 20 years.

Haycock also gives her time with the Volunteers of America Guild.

"Carol showed up in a snow storm on a Saturday to help us pack our Christmas baskets. Yep, she came when some of our staff couldn't get there," said Cathy Law, with Volunteers of America.

Haycock is reliable and knowledgeable, and this enthusiastic 87 year old is energized by helping others.

Her experience and gift of giving has paid off for countless Coloradans needing a helping hand, at a time of year that a lot of people dread.

"I look forward to the tax season."
