New ‘Elf’ Cereal Tastes Like Maple Syrup

In addition to bringing back the delightfully sweet Sugar Cookie Toast Crunch cereal for the holiday season, General Mills has a new cereal hitting shelves soon, and this one is sure to get you in the Christmas spirit.

The limited-edition “Elf” cereal is inspired by Buddy the Elf from the beloved holiday movie, and, of course, it is flavored with maple syrup, one of the four main food groups for elves (along with candy, candy canes and candy corns).

Hitting store shelves nationwide soon, the breakfast treat is made up of green and red tree-shaped marshmallows and maple-flavored corn puff cereal pieces. The cereal will only be available through the holiday season, and a mid-size box will cost you around $2.50, while a family-size box will be around $3.99.

Alongside your bowl of “Elf” cereal, you can add even more holiday cheer to your breakfast table with “Elf”-inspired coffee creamer! International Delight’s Frosted Sugar Cookie, Peppermint Mocha and Caramel Waffle Cookie creamers are all getting a makeover this holiday season with “Elf”-themed packaging.

Each 32-ounce coffee creamer features an illustration of Buddy the Elf on the bottle, and Caramel Waffle Cookie is also a brand-new flavor. Only in stores for a limited time, International Delight says the creamer tastes like rich caramel drizzled on top of a toasted waffle cookie.

If you’re a serious Buddy the Elf aficionado, you may also want to head to Target and pick up this life-size inflatable for your front yard.

And if your household includes some pint-sized “Elf” fans, they, too, can get in on the fun this holiday season with a new “Elf: Journey from the North Pole” board game from Funko Games, suitable for players ages 7 and up.

Fisher-Price has also released an “Elf” Little People Set for ages 1 and up. The adorable set features a Christmas tree and two characters from the movie — Buddy and Jovie — all brought down to Little People toy size.
