The trains that will soon take you from Union Station to Denver International Airport are also the engine for new opportunities.
Ink Coffee sits just footsteps from the boarding platform.
The shop opened here two years ago, long before the debut of the airport service on April 22. The local chain wanted to be first, confident there would be long-term success.
"It's a cup by cup proposition," said Brent Elliott, vice-president of operations for Ink Coffee. "Why not be the ones to go in and dive in a little earlier than everyone else and wait for the rest of it to build around us."
The expansion isn't just in the city.
Closer to the airport, Panasonic is building a new facility off of Tower Road near a new rail station. At 40th and Colorado, new housing is rising near the new “A line.”
"They built two new apartment complexes and we're hoping more people will move in, maybe they'll open a grocery store here," said one local resident.
Officials feel the new line will also help to cut down on traffic congestion and help to improve the neighborhood and the environment.
A set of tracks, helping to create a path for Denver's future.
"We know that it's a matter of time. But it's going to be successful with time," said Elliott.
