VAIL, Colo. -- Kids in kindergarten through 5th grade ski free at the four Vail Resorts in Colorado this winter, but the last day to get the Epic SchoolKids pass is Sunday.
"Last season, more than 30,000 Colorado children took advantage of Epic SchoolKids, and we hope to encourage even more families to give skiing or snowboarding a try this season,” said Kirsten Lynch, chief marketing officer of Vail Resorts.
The Epic SchoolKids Pass gives students four free ski days at each of the Vail Resorts -- Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge and Keystone. That's a total of 16 free ski days.
The pass is free. Families can register for the pass at Colorado Ski & Golf, Colorado Ski & Sport and Boulder Ski Deals locations throughout the Front Range. However, the last day to register for the 2015-16 winter season is Sunday, October 9.
For more information and registration information, visit the Epic SchoolKids website.
"Epic SchoolKids is Vail Resorts’ way of giving back to the local community, while ensuring future generations have access to the sports of skiing and snowboarding," officials said.
Colorado 5th graders can get a free pass, and Colorado 6th graders can get a $105 pass, valid at 20 other resorts through Colorado Ski Country.
