Working Wednesday: UPS still needs to fill more than 1,000 seasonal positions in the Denver area

DENVER – UPS still needs more than 1,000 seasonal workers in the Denver area to help with the upcoming holiday season. 

The company just announced it expects to deliver a record-breaking 750 million packages this season, and needs to fill more than 1,000 job openings here in Denver, including permanent package handler positions.

Tractor-trailer driver jobs start at $32.00 per hour, and seasonal driver jobs start at $18.75 per hour. Pay for package handlers is between $10.20 and $11.00 per hour plus a $200 weekly attendance bonus, and driver-helpers start at $15.00 per hour. UPS says 35 percent of seasonal workers eventually move on to permanent positions.
