A variety of herbal extracts and dietary supplements are being recalled Wednesday, the Food and Drug Administration said.
The recall affects the Iowa Select Herbs brand, marketed between Jan. 1 to Aug. 17, 2015 and packaged in various sizes from 1 once to 1 gallon.
The reason for the recall, the FDA said, was because of unapproved, misbranded new dietary supplements not manufactured in compliance with the current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations.
The FDA said Iowa Select Herbs, based out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, distributes their product mostly through online retailers like the company's website or marketplace websites such as Amazon and eBay.
