DENVER -- On-line grocery delivery is growing in popularity. This week, King Soopers and Walmart announced plans to expand their delivery systems.

Safeway and Amazon also offer the food delivery service.

Denver7 asked grocery pricing expert Eva Fry of the UGrocery app some common questions:

Will pricing become more competitive?

“I think absolutely, you're going to see more competitive pricing, I think you're going to see discounts on the delivery fee, I think you're going to see online only promotions  that differ from what you can get in the store," said Fry.

Store vs. delivery?

"I think you're still going to get the best price in store personally, because you are paying a premium for the same day service and you are paying a premium for delivery.

There are limited delivery slots?

“That's correct, and so if you want to get a same day delivery, you need to make sure you do it first thing in the morning, like before 8am."

Walmart already offers home delivery in Denver.  It is not known yet if our region will see expanded service.
