DENVER – It’s claimed to be the city’s most original urban festival and for a third straight year, TheBigWonderful will roll into Denver this weekend.

Here’s what you need to know about the festival that celebrates Colorado’s eclectic culture:

1. TheBigWonderful has a new location

This weekend’s event is taking place in a vacant field just east of the old Denver Post newspaper printing facility -- at 4400 Fox Street -- where I-25 and I-70 meet.

2. Beer Fest, Bands and Bazaar

TheBigWonderful is hosting five different bazars throughout the weekend, as well as more than a dozen bands and a beer fest all day Saturday.

3. More than 130 pop-up tents from local businesses

TheBigWonderful activates otherwise vacant urban lots into thriving arts and a small business community, and they’ll do it again this year to help local business grow.

4. Partnerships

This year, TheBigWonderful has partnered with Re:Vision as a nonprofit partner.

A portion of the proceeds from the BeerFest will go toward developing local leaders, growing community food systems and building locally-owned economy.

5. Kentucky Derby Party

This year, you’ll be able to watch the 2017 Kentucky Debery on the big screen at TheBigWonderful.
