DENVER – It’s not only the high increase in rent prices you’ll have to worry about next year – you may want to start putting aside some money for water as well.
Denver Water provided notice to the city that a rate increase is being proposed for 2017.
The rates are being proposed to provide Denver Water with an additional three percent in revenue for next year, an official with Denver Water said in a press release.
The actual increases will be based on customer class and individual usage patterns.
The rates will be presented to the Denver Water Board on Nov. 16 and are expected to be voted upon at the Dec. 14 meeting.
The new rates would be effective on or after April 1, 2017.
The Denver Water Board meets at 1600 West 12th Avenue. Meetings begin at 9 a.m.
