WELD COUNTY, Colo. -- For businesses along the Interstate 25 corridor, the Great American Eclipse may be a time to shine.
At the Johnson’s Corner Truck Stop in Weld County, its bakery sells about 300 homemade cinnamon rolls a day. Added eclipse business could cause those sales to double.
"No, we will not run out of cinnamon rolls. We have so many. We are well prepared for this weekend," said general manager Chris Harder. "We had a call the other night, that was afraid we were going to run out."
As the truck stop is getting ready for the solar surge -- all managers will be on the job this weekend.
"Now that the eclipse is in Wyoming, I expect our sales will be quite good."
"Maybe double, yeah, if not a little bit more than that, that would be great," Harder said.
