DENVER – Coloradans spent big bucks to up their chances of winning that incredible $758.7 million Powerball jackpot, according to new numbers from the Colorado Lottery.
In total, Powerball sales reached $8.76 million from sales starting on Sunday and going through Wednesday of this week.
A Colorado Lottery official told Denver7 that’s more than eight times of what a typical drawing brings in to the state.
And while someone in Massachusetts may have wont the second-largest Powerball drawing ever, four winning tickets worth $50,000 or more were sold in our state.
Officials said the million-dollar ticket was sold at a 7-Eleven store on Briargate Parkway in Colorado Springs.
A ticket worth $200,000 was sold in Pueblo and two tickets worth $50,000 each were sold in Englewood and Aspen.
