“Gangnam Style” and “The Gambler” don’t exist in the taco world any longer.
Moontower Tacos, once at 6th Avenue and Grant Street in Denver, opened a couple of years ago. On Tuesday, customers found a “CLOSED” sign on the door.
The restaurant was known for wacky creations. Beef brisket, coleslaw, pickled jalapenos and onions filled “Gambler.” Pork belly and peanuts were in “Gangnam.” You could also order breakfast tacos stuffed with eggs, mashed potatoes and avocado.
Moontower’s Facebook page confirms its end with a “permanently closed” label. The website is gone.
Owners haven’t posted a reason why, but taco fans have written about their utter grief:
i'm currently feelings-eating half a Heath bar that i found in a shot glass in my bathroom. #RIPMoontower
