If you’ll be taking your little ones trunk-or-treating this year, you’re going to of course need costumes and candy to pass out from the trunk of your vehicle, but you’ll also need to come up with some fun decorations.

At trunk-or-treat events, kids trick or treat from the back of a car, usually in a safe place like the parking lot of a church or school. While kids go around collecting candy, adults stay at their vehicle to hand out the goodies. It’s not only safer because it’s easier to keep an eye on your kids, and they won’t be trick-or-treating in the street — but it’s also an excuse to dress up your car a bit.
