DENVER – The City of Denver is the sixth most pet-friendly city in the U.S., according to data gathered by California-based pet sitting service.
DogVacay, in partnership with Veterinary Centres of America (VCA) Hospitals and Trupanion, a pet insurance provider, measured more than 1,100 cities against 20 different factors when pulling data.
Some of those factors included the number of local pet service providers, the average home yard size, the most pet-friendly businesses, the number of dogs per household, the average family, income, rent and mortgage paid and the cost of dog ownership.
Denver also scored well above the U.S. average for those of services, according to DogVacay.
